Miss Universe Organization runs Miss Teen USA which is a beauty pageant for girls of age group 15-19. The first Miss Teen USA pageant was first held in 1983 and was broadcasted live on various channels.
Miss Teen USA 2010 was the 28th edition of Miss Teen USA pageant held at the Atlantis Paradise Island on July 24, 2010. Karnie Crawford of Maryland's was the successor of Miss Teen USA 2010 and was crowned by Miss Teen USA 2009 Storni Henley from Tennessee. The competitors for this prestigious title were the District of Columbia and 50 states.
The Miss Teen USA spectacle was webcasted live on Ustream. The second final Miss Teen Fantasy Camp was also held during the pageant.
The beginning of Miss Teen USA 2010 was hosted by Stori Henley and Ed fields which took place on 23rd of July whereas the final competition was held on 24th July 2010. Seth Goldman, a host of “Entertainment Buzz” of NBC and Crystle Stewart, Miss USA 2008 was the chair person of the main event. This was the third time when Seth Goldman and Crystle Stewart were chaired together for an event whereas the other two events were preliminaries of Miss USA 2009 and Miss Teen USA 2009.
Alicia Blanco, Miss Arizona USA 2009; Laura Chukanov, Miss Utah USA 2009; Andrielle Churchill, Miss Arkansas USA 2010; Nicole Michele Johnson, Miss California USA 2010; Sara Brooks, Miss Lousiana USA 2010; and Belinda Wright, Miss Nebraka USA 2010 were invited by the organization as fantasy camp's official counsellors.
Kameran Kamie Crawford, the successor of Miss Teen USA 2010, was born on 25th October, 1992. Apart from the crown, she won a scholarship of $100,000, clothes, trips and a chance to share New York City apartment along with other titleholders of Donald Trump- Miss Universe, Navarrete and Miss USA, Rima Fakih.
Some of the winners of Miss USA are- Ali Landry (1996), Kimberley Pressler (1999), Lynnette Cole (2000), Susie Castilo (2003), Chelsea Cooley (2005), Tara Conner (2006), Rachel Smith (2007), and Alyssa Campanella (2011).
